I’m always lettering and collecting words.

It is, quite honestly, my favorite thing to do. I use illustration to interpret the world. I share words that inspire, motivate, and uplift. I adore puns and wordplay. I think language is powerful. With words as my medium, I aim to help others discover, explore, learn, feel curious, and play more.

Below, find samples of my lettered artwork! I have over 1,200 designs now, so this is not a comprehensive compilation, but please contact me if you are looking for a particular design!

Categories of designs I love to illustrate include Inspiration, Nature, Animals, Mythological Critters, Puns, Love and Friendship, Space, and Spooky.

Cards, stickers, coloring books, and more are available for purchase in my Etsy shop. Interested in wholesaling Wander on Words wares? Find me on Faire!

What We Do

How do I make my hand-lettered cards and prints? I start by finding quotes and phrases that resonate with me. Then I put pencil and Micron pen to paper and letter a design. I still prefer analog methods to start the process. Sometimes I will paint an illustration first, then outline it in crisp black lines.

Next, I digitize the artwork via scanning it or photographing it, and finally, I print it on cardstock right here in Vermont. I have a background in working at a print shop, which allows me to create high-quality digital prints on demand.  I then package all cards and prints in biodegradable sleeves and ship them or hand-deliver them all over the country! Thus far, I’ve shipped to every state and over 20 countries!

When I first began this journey, I overlaid words I lettered onto photos I had taken. I then expanded into shape designs and hand-lettered state and country designs. Realizing that I wanted to offer something a little more practical, I had the revelation to create cards from my art. Cards have the power to inspire, thank, congratulate, brighten, sympathize with, and reach out in a unique way. Finally, I branched out to creating stickers, coloring books, apparel, canvas products, and more. My hope is that these uplifting words and illustrations can help people connect and find more wonder in their daily lives.
